Binddii is a poignant and emotionally charged family drama that traces the extraordinary journey of a young girl born behind bars, whose life becomes a mission to free her innocent mother and reclaim her family's lost honor. Set against the backdrop of societal injustice and familial betrayal, the show explores the unbreakable bond between a mother and daughter, and the courage it takes to challenge a corrupt system.
Kajal, a devoted and principled woman, is wrongfully imprisoned for a crime she did not commit. Her incarceration at Tihar Jail marks the beginning of a painful chapter, but also the birth of hope—on the auspicious day of Krishna Janmashtami, she gives birth to her daughter, Binddii. Raised within the confines of prison, Binddii grows up surrounded by love and care from the inmates and staff, forming a unique and nurturing community. However, prison rules eventually force her to leave her mother and face the outside world alone.
Binddii is sent to live with her maternal uncle, Saurav, in Mathura. While Saurav and his children, Shubham and Laadli, offer her warmth and support, she faces hostility from her aunt Sudha and other relatives who view her as a burden and a reminder of disgrace. Despite the emotional and social challenges, Binddii remains resilient, holding onto the memories of her mother and the promise to prove her innocence.
The central conflict intensifies with the introduction of Aviraj, Kajal’s estranged husband and Binddii’s biological father, and his elder brother Dayanand—known as Bhaiyya Ji. Dayanand is a powerful and manipulative figure who orchestrated Kajal’s downfall to protect his own interests. Aviraj, morally compromised and driven by greed, betrayed Kajal by siding with Dayanand, leading to her unjust imprisonment.
Binddii’s journey becomes a metaphorical battle between good and evil, echoing the mythological tale of Krishna and Kans. She embodies truth, justice, and determination, standing up against the oppressive forces that destroyed her family. Her quest is not just to free her mother, but to expose the lies, corruption, and betrayal that have plagued their lives.
As the story unfolds, Aviraj unknowingly crosses paths with Binddii. Initially unaware of their connection, he is drawn to her courage and innocence. Guilt begins to surface, and in a moment of redemption, he saves her from danger. The revelation of Binddii’s identity and the truth about Kajal’s imprisonment sets the stage for a dramatic reckoning, where long-buried secrets come to light and relationships are tested.
Binddii is a deeply emotional tale of resilience, love, and justice. It explores the strength of a daughter’s love, the pain of betrayal, and the power of truth in the face of adversity.
