The show captures the true essence of pre- and post-independence era by following the story of two sisters separated by destiny. Both are found and brought up by different families far away from each other. They do meet each other when they are seven years old but somehow they end up being separated again due to circumstances around them. The elder daughter Charu carries all Bondita’s traits and is fierce and outspoken just like her mother, but her sister Durga, with time, has become meek and pessimist after getting separated from Charu.
This is where their journey begins to find each other despite all odds. Parted by Destiny, how will they Reunite?
