Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan is a vibrant youth drama that captures the electric energy of campus life, friendship and first love at S.P.A.C.E Academy. At its center is Manik Malhotra, the charismatic leader of FAB5—a popular music band comprising five talented but arrogant students who rule the college with their attitude and musical prowess. Their world is turned upside down when Nandini Murthy, an innocent and determined girl with a passion for music, enters their lives.
Nandini arrives at the academy with her best friend Navya, relocating to Mumbai for her younger brother Rishabh's medical treatment. She carries with her a jar of fireflies, believing they light up only in the presence of true love. A chance collision with Manik brings them face to face and when they both touch her firefly jar, it glows—hinting at a connection neither expects nor initially wants.
As opposites attract, Manik and Nandini's relationship evolves from hostility to friendship and eventually to deep love. However, their journey is complicated by Manik's existing girlfriend Alya, his best friend Dhruv who also develops feelings for Nandini and the disapproval of Manik's manipulative mother Nyonika, who sees Nandini as a threat to her son's future.
