Pranati, a naive young girl is madly in love with Rey, she gave him everything but after a heartbreak, she wound up pregnant and alone. She is further shattered when her mother informs her of her stillborn child and with a heavy heart she moves on, broken beyond repair. For Pranati even though life went on, she stopped living - a girl who loved deeply was now scared and wounded by love. 8 years later Pranati gets engaged to Archit, a man who loves her completely and understands she may not love him back. But unknown to her, the daughter she thought was dead, has survived.

Jugnu grows up in an orphanage, hardened by what life has thrown at her over the years, has turned out to become a survivor, street smart and rough.
